It is easier with the ‘Warsaw one’ – a cooperation between ZTM and PKP InterCity
Are you going to the capital by train? You don’t have to worry about all tickets you would normally need to travel to and around Warsaw. From now on (from the 25th October) you may buy an integrated ticket which entitles you to travel by PKP InterCity trains as well as to commute by public transport in Warsaw. The integrated ticket is just the next convenience we have prepared specially for the passengers who travel by long distance trains.
The first wholly integrated ticket entitling to travel by Przewozy Regionalne trains and Warsaw public transport was introduced on 1st June 2012. Now the time has come to cooperate with the biggest train operator in Poland – PKP InterCity.
Bilet warszawski IC (in English : Warsaw IC Ticket) entitles the passengers to travel by all means of communication within the area of the first zone. The ticket is valid on the exact day of the journey before the departure from the capital or after the arrival. The passenger has to indicate the time of the departure himself/ herself by entering the hour of the departure while travelling by public transport. Attention: the ticket is invalid if the passenger does not enter the hour or enters it after the journey has already started.
You may buy the integrated ticket from the 25th October this year in all ticket offices which sell PKP InterCity tickets and from 29th October this year directly from a conductor in a train. The ticket entitles passengers to travel by Express InterCity, Express, EuroCity and TLK trains and in all means of communication in Warsaw. However, the ticket is not honored in Koleje Mazowieckie and Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa trains and in bus transport in the County of Łomianki.
The price of the ticket includes the costs of the PKP InterCity train connection to/from Warsaw and a lump sum payment for Warsaw public transport.
