Time-limit and short-term tickets via mobile
The service “Pay via mobile” may be used by subscribers of all cellular networks (beforehand this service was available only for Plus or Play network users). You can use new mobile tickets in all means of Warsaw public transport as well as in trains of Koleje Mazowieckie (Masovian Railways) and Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa (Warsaw Suburb Rail) which is something new. However, it is possible only in the zone of so-called integrated ticket validity.
The service “Pay via mobile”, which is fast and convenient way of paying for travelling by public transport, was introduced on December,8 2008. Until recently, it has been possible to buy only time-limit tickets – 20, 40, 60 and 90-minute ones within this service. By the end of July, this year the service was used by 60,000 passengers.
To use this service you need to open an account calling *145# in Plus and Play networks and 791 145 145 in other networks and register in mPay system. Ticket purchase itself is very easy. After getting a connection, you will receive guidelines either on the display of your mobile or through a loudspeaker (if you choose voice version), which will instruct you step by step what to do next to buy a ticket.
Passengers can use discounts they are entitled to. The only thing to use it is to enter a proper number. Prior to that, you should, of course, check if you are really entitled to such a discount. During ticket inspection, you should call the toll-free number which is visible on the ticket inspector’s ID card.
