Difficulties in the undergroun

Construction of the central section of the second line of the underground will cause exclusion of traffic on the first underground line. The underground trains will run on the routes KABATY – CENTRUM and RATUSZ ARSENAŁ – MŁOCINY at weekends, starting from 13th of April. The ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKA station will be closed. At the same time, Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego will launch the substitute bus line Z-1.
In connection with the successive stage of the construction of the second line of the underground, the underground trains will run on the routes KABATY – CENTRUM and RATUSZ ARSENAŁ – MŁOCINY for three weekends. The ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKA station will not be accessible to passengers.
On the route KABATY – CENTRUM, the underground trains will run on the both tracks. From RATUSZ ARSENAŁ station to MŁOCINY station the underground trains will run from the track torward KABATY station.
On the route KABATY – CENTRUM, the underground trains will run according to the timetable valid at the weekend. The underground trains on the route RATUSZ ARSENAŁ – MŁOCINY will run every 7,5 minutes . The night rides will be maitened.
The CENTRUM – RATUSZ ARSENAŁ section will be excluded from operation over a period of three weekends:
- 13th of April (from 10 p.m.) – 15th of April
- 20th of April (from 10 p.m.) – 22th of April
- 27th of April (from 10 p.m.) – 29th of April.
In the course of this closure, the substitute bus line Z-1 will be opened. The bus line will run on route METRO MARYMONT – Słowackiego – pl. Wilsona – Mickiewicza – Andersa – pl. Bankowy – Marszałkowska – pl. Konstytucji – Waryńskiego – METRO POLITECHNIKA. The bus Z-1 will run every 6 minutes.
Bus line 520 will stop on additional bus stops: Centrum 03, Metro Świętokrzyska 01 and 02, Królewska 01 and 02.
Ticket and charges
In case of joint ride (underground and substitute bus line), a single fare ticket, validated in one of the vehicles is valid in the secon vehicle. For example, if you validate the ticket on the Z-1 bus, it is also valid in the underground.
In case of joint ride (underground and bus or tram), a single fare ticket, validated in the underground is salso valid on 4, 15, 18, 35, 73 trams and 107, 127, 171, 520 buses on the route CENRTUM – METRO RATUSZ ARSENAŁ. The ticket, validated in the vehicles 4, 15, 18, 35, 73, 107, 127, 171, 520 is valid in the underground on the route CENTRUM – RATUSZ ARSENAŁ.
The passengers who validate their ticket on bus or tram, they can get on the Centrum and Ratusz Arsenał stations through the opened gate.
