Almost five months without Marszałkowska
During the construction of Świętokrzyska metro station, it is necessary to close Marszałkowska street at the area of construction site. It is going to happen on 30th of April. Bus and tram lines are going to operate on alternate routes. The impediments will last till the middle of September. You are kindly invited to get acquainted with information on operation of public transport during this period.
At the time of closing the intersection of Marszałkowska and Świętokrzyska streets, the tram lines 4 and 15 are going to operate on alternate routes. They are going to run along al. Jana Pawła II. The line 16 is going to run on its standard route and go from ul. Woronicza to the Żerań terminus on ul. Jagiellońska. Two lines will be suspended – 18 and 35. The substitute tram line 74 is going to be launched instead.
The bus lines 107, 151 and 171 are going to operate on alternate routes, i.e. along the following streets: Kredytowa – Jasna/Szpitalna – Mazowiecka (107), Królewska – Krakowskie Przedmieście – Nowy Świat (151) and pl. Grzybowski – ul. Emilii Plater (171). The lines 127 and 520 are going to be divided. They are going to operate on shortened routes and be replaced by new launched lines 227 and 522 on stretches which they will be removed from. The new line 316 is going also to be launched. It will enhance the transport on Trakt Królewski. The route of line 519 is also going to be changed slightly.
The routes of some night lines are also going to be changed. After reaching pl. Zawiszy the lines N32, N35, N85, N38 and N88 are going to run along Al. Jerozolimskie and Marszałkowska to the Centrum stop located on ul. Marszałkowska between Złota and Sienkiewicza. Whereas the lines N42, N45 and N95 are going to run from the terminus at Dworzec Centralny along Emilii Plater and Al. Jerozolimskie to al. Jana Pawła II from where they are going to reach their standard routes.
An additional stop on Marszałkowska Street between Aleje Jerozolimskie and Widok Street (before the rotunda) is also going to be launched.

Line 4
The line is going to operate on a alternate route along the following streets: ŻERAŃ WSCHODNI – … – most Gdański – Słomińskiego – al. Jana Pawła II – Chałubińskiego – al. Niepodległości – Nowowiejska – pl. Zbawiciela – Marszałkowska – Puławska – WYŚCIGI.
The trams of this line are going to run every 10 minutes during the rush hour and every 15 minutes during the rest of a day and on holidays.
Line 15
The trams of this line are going to operate on the following route: MARYMONT-POTOK – Mickiewicza – Andersa – Stawki – al. Jana Pawła II – Chałubińskiego – al. Niepodległości – Nowowiejska – Krzywickiego – … – P+R AL. KRAKOWSKA.
The line is going to operate every 10 minutes during the rush hour and every 15 minutes during the rest of a day and on holidays.
Line 16
The standard route of this line is going to be restored: WORONICZA – ŻERAŃ FSO. It is going to replace the line 18 suspended due to closing of ul. Marszałkowska.
The line is going to operate every 10 minutes during the rush hour and every 15 minutes during the rest of a day and on holidays.
Line 18
The line is going to be suspended. Within the stretch to Żerań FSO it is going to be replaced by the line 16 and on the stretch to Służewiec by the line 74.
Line 35
This line is also going to be suspended. Within the stretch along ul. Puławska it is going to be replaced by the line 74 and on the stretch to Nowe Bemowe by additional runs of the line 28.
Line 74
It is going to replace the lines 18 and 35. It is going to operate on the route: SŁUŻEWIEC – … – Marszałkowska – pl. Zbawiciela – Nowowiejska – Krzywickiego – Filtrowa – PL. NARUTOWICZA
The trams of this line are going to operate every 10 minutes during the rush hour and every 15 minutes during the rest of a day and on holidays. Apart from the lines 18 and 35, the line 74 is also going to replace the line 15 on the following stretch: pl. Narutowicza – Politechnika – pl. Zbawiciela.

Line 107
It is going to operate on the route: ESPERANTO – … – pl. Bankowy – Marszałkowska – Królewska – Mazowiecka – Kredytowa – Jasna – Zgoda – Krucza (back: Krucza – Szpitalna – pl. Powstańców Warszawy – Mazowiecka) – Piękna – … – KIERBEDZIA.
The frequency of operation is not going to be changed.
Line 127
It is going to operate on the new shorter line: NOWE WŁOCHY – … pl. Zawiszy – Aleje Jerozolimskie – Bracka – PL. TRZECH KRZYŻY (back: Nowy Świat – Aleje Jerozolimskie).
The buses are going to run every 15 minutes during the rush hour and the rest of a day and every 20 minutes on holidays.
Due to the fact of operating on very long route the line 127 is very irregular at present. During closing of ul Marszłkowska, the line can meet subsequent impediments. In order to prevent this situation it is going to be divided into two lines. As 127 it is going to run on the shorter route – from Włochy to pl. Trzech Krzyży. The new line 227 is going to be launched on the remaining stretch of this route (more information below).
Line 151
The line is going to run on the route: MŁYNÓW – … – Grzybowska – Królewska – Krakowskie Przedmieście – Nowy Świat – pl. Trzech Krzyży – … – GOCŁAW.
The frequency of operation is not going to be changed.
Line 171
The line is going to operate on the alternate route: NOWE BEMOWO – … – al. Solidarności – pl. Bankowy – Marszałkowska – Królewska – pl. Grzybowski – Emilii Plater – Aleje Jerozolimskie – … – TORWAR.
The frequency of operation is not going to be changed.
Line 227
It is a new line running on the route: BRÓDNO-PODGRODZIE – Krasnobrodzka – Chodecka – Łojewska – Łabiszyńska – Kondratowicza – Św. Wincentego – Starzyńskiego – most Gdański – Słomińskiego – Szymanowska – Zakroczymska – Konwiktorska (back: Bonifraterska – Międzyparkowa – Słomińskiego) – Świętojerska – Anielewicza – Zamenhofa – Nowolipki – Andersa (back: Andersa – Świętojerska) – pl. Bankowy – Marszałkowska – Królewska – pl. Grzybowski – Emilii Plater – Al. Jerozolimskie – al. Jana Pawła II – DW. CENTRALNY (back: al. Jana Pawła II – Grzybowska).
The line is going to operate every 20 minutes during the rush hour and every 30 minutes during the rest of a day and on holidays. It is going to replace the line 127 on the stretch between Bródno and Śródmieście.
Line 316
It is a subsequent new line. It is going to be launched on the following route: PL. WILSONA – Mickiewicza – Andersa – Muranowska – Bonifraterska – Miodowa – Krakowskie Przedmieście – Nowy Świat – PL. TRZECH KRZYŻY.
The buses of this line are going to operate only during the rush morning hour every 10 minutes. This line is going to enhance communication along Trakt Królewski parallel with ul. Marszałkowska.
Line 519
The route of the line is going to be changed slightly. The buses will reach the intersection of Świętokrzyska and Marszałkowska from the south instead of Dworzec Centralny. The line will have a stop between ul. Sienkiewicza and Moniuszki and will turn back through the closed tram track. As a result, after closing tram traffic at ul. Marszałkowska the buses will at least partly enhance metro which will remain the only mean of track transport on this stretch.
The frequency of the line is not going to be changed.
Line 520
The line is going to be divided (similarly to the line 127) into two shorter lines in order to minimize the expected significant impediments. As 520 it is going to run on the shortened route. From Marysin it will run to the intersection of Świętokrzyska and Marszałkowska from the south as the line 519 (frequency without changes). It is going to be replaced by the new line 522 on the stretch of its route between Śródmieście and Wola.
Line 522
It is going to be launched on the route: ZNANA – Stroma – Strąkowa – Boznańskiej – Jana Olbrachta (back: Jana Olbrachta – ZNANA) – Górczewska – Leszno – Okopowa – al. Solidarności (back: al. Solidarności – Leszno) – Bielańska – BIELAŃSKA (back: Bielańska – Senatorska – pl. Bankowy – al. Solidarności).
The line is going to operate every 6 minutes during the rush hour and every 10 minutes during the rest of a day and on holidays.
