Railway transport after Germany – Italy match
After the Germany – Italy match the football fans will be able to get from the National Stadium to the Chopin Airport and to the Fan Zone by railway from Warszawa Stadium stop.
From security reasons Railway Guards will limit the access to the platform towards the center. The fans will be heading towards the platform slower and thus, it will be easier to spread them over the entire length of the platform which will help fill subsequent trains evenly.
SKM trains to the airport will stop at all intermediate stations and stops, also on the stops between Warszawa Zachodnia and the Chopin Airport.
The train traffic from the Stadium and the Fan Zone eastwards (e.g. to Otwock, Dęblin, Legionowo) will be in accordance with the schedule.
After the match (taking into consideration the fact that there can be play-off and penalties), trains in the directions to Pruszków, Grodzisk Maz., Żyrardów, Skierniewice, Błonie, Sochaczew, Łowicz, Piaseczno and Warka will depart from Warszawa Centralna station, which will facilitate the passage of trains to the airport and reduce the stopover at the Śródmieście Station. The thing is to prevent the groups of Stadium fans from “mixing up” with the groups of Fan Zone fans.
Fans (also those from the Stadium) interested in traveling further than to Warszawa Zachodnia or the airport (i.e. in the direction of Skierniewice, Łowicz or Warka) will be asked to change trains at the Warszawa Śródmieście station and move to the Dworzec Centralny station or change trains at the Warszawa Zachodnia station.
The carriers (KM and SKM), if possible, will extend the selected trains ( add additional carriages) so that they can take more fans on board.
If needed, just as during previous matches, additional trains will be launched in directions in which increased demand will be noted.
