New SKM timetables will come into effect on 2 September this year. On this day traffic on the cross-city railway line will be restored. Trains will run to Pruszków on both tracks again. However, transport to the Warsaw Chopin Airport will be suspended for a few days. Passengers from Legionowo and Wieliszew can also expect traffic difficulties

Trains will be restored to the cross-city railway after the completion of renovation of rail bridge. The restoration of traffic on both rails on the Pruszków line will be possible due to the completion of construction of a new train stop Ursus Niedźwiadek.

Passengers can expect – from 2 to 8 September this year, traffic difficulties concerning trains. At this time the traffic of trains to the Warsaw Chopin Airport will be suspended and the renovation of a junction at the the Warsaw Chopin Airport will be continued. The junction was damaged in June as a result of derailment of a train. SKM passengers from Legionowo Michałów-Regionów and Wieliszew should also prepare for changes in traffic of trains. The line from Legionowo to Wieliszew will be modernized. Its reconstruction is necessary due to the renovation of the line Rail Baltica from Warsaw via Białystok and Suwałki to Kowno, which is scheduled for the next year. During these works, which will be conducted on the Warszawa Rembertów-Wołomni-Tłuszcz section, Legionowo-Tłuszcz line will function as the detour for the long haul trains, running between Warsaw and Białystok. As a result, more trains than currently will run on this line.

Detailed information

Line S1

Traffic on both rails will be restored on the Pruszków line. Line S1 will be restored to its route. Lines S10 and S11 will be canceled. However, as stated in the information of railway infrastructure management – PKP PLK company, at the weekends, in hourslong periods, traffic of trains between Pruszków and Włochy will be limited. It is connected with the works on the overhead line equipment scheduled by PLK.

Lines S2 and S3 (to the airport)

SKM and KM trains will not run to the airport from 2 to 8 September. During this time line S2 will run only to the Warszawa Służewiec stop and lines S3 and KML will be reduced to Dworzec Zachodni.

Substitute bus line ZS2 will be launched between 6.00 and 22.00 from the PKP Służewiec 02 stop (viaduct at Marynarska Street). This line will run towards the Warsaw Chopin Airport only.

On 9-11 September the airport will be serviced by line S2 trains only. Airport trains of Koleje Mazowieckie (KML) will run to/from Warszawa Służewiec station and the line S3 trains – to/from Warszawa Zachodnia station.

All trains (lines S2, S3 and KML) will run to the airport from 12 September.

 Lines S3 and S9

From 2 to 11 September the section from Legionowo to Legionowo Piaski will be excluded. At this time routes of all S3 and S9 trains will be reduced to Legionowo station. On workdays, in the rush hours, a substitute bus line ZS9 will be launched, which will run on the following route: Wieliszew UG – Łajski – PKP Michałów-Reginów – PKP Legionowo. In addition bus line 731 will be adjusted, which will run to the Legionowo station.

After the completion of works on the section to Legionowo Piaski, the traffic on the setcion from Legionowo via Michałów-Reginów to Wieliszew will be suspended from 12 September. The trains will not run there until 6 October.

At that time S3 and S9 trains will run on the reduced route, to Legionowo or Legionowo Piaski station (in accordance to the timetable). The substitute line ZS9 from Wieliszew to the station in Legionowo will be still active.
